All-in-one Platform
Comprehensive Learning & Assessment
From in-class active learning, homework assignments, and now secure online quizzes and exams, Chem101’s all-in-one platform provides a comprehensive set of features for formative and summative assessments.
15,000 PROBLEMS OR WRITE YOUR OWN
Extensive Content Library
Building quizzes and exams has never been easier. Chem101 provides an extensive library of questions for chemistry courses such as General Chemistry, Introductory Chemistry, GOB Chemistry, or Organic Chemistry. The content library includes discipline-specific problem types such as molecule drawing, chemical equations and naming, dimensional analysis, numerical entry, and more.
Easy and flexible authoring also allows instructors to add their own questions.
FOR ADDITIONAL SECURITY
Integrated Remote Proctoring
To ensure academic integrity during quizzes and exams, Chem101 now offers optional integrated remote proctoring via Proctorio.
PREVENT & DETECT CHEATING
When turned on, Proctorio locks down student browsers and utilizes a sophisticated artificial intelligence system to detect unwanted behavior via student webcams and microphones. After the assignment is submitted, instructors receive a detailed report that outlines any suspected cheating.
OPT-IN & OPT OUT
Instructors can opt-in to the proctoring requirement for any individual Chem101 course and can also individually opt-out students if they are in need of alternative accommodations.
AFFORDABLE PRICING
Unlimited proctored timed quizzes or exams for an additional $10/semester or $7/quarter per student. Institutions with pre-existing Proctorio licenses receive integrated proctoring with Chem101 at no additional cost!
RANDOMIZATION WITH
Algorithmic Problems & Question Pools
Chem101 offers additional security with both Question Pools and Algorithmic Problems. These features randomize the content that is delivered to each student during homeworks, quizzes, or exams. Instructors can also randomize the order of questions on any assignment.
ALGORITHMS
Built-in variables create thousands of question variants to be delivered that randomize numbers, words, or compounds within the problem statement.
POOLS
Group together a set of similar questions and deliver a subset of them at random to students.
Built For
More Flexibility
Chem101 makes it easy for instructors to account for the unforeseen during the academic term.
Give Make-Ups in a Snap
Instructors can easily exempt particular students or pre-set groups of students from assignments for make up quizzes or exams, or create multiple assignment variants for different sections of the course.
Exam #1 (Make-Up)
